Slot Car Track for $1-great garage sale find!!

This is about the best garage sale find I think I've even gotten. A slot car track with just about everything in it for $1!!!!! It all works and Gabe loves it (Mike and I have fun with it too). Caleb gets all excited watching the cars go round and round also. Just thought I'd share.

King's Island Trip

On May 30th we took a trip to King's Island with Mike's band. Gabe was so excited to go! He even got to ride the bus over with Mike (while Caleb and I took the car over). It's very different going to KI now with 2 small kids. I no longer have anxiety about having to ride all the roller coasters. I used to hate them, then in high school and college I got to where I'd ride them (feeling much anxiety) but love them. Now, after living in Chicago for 5 years and not going to KI and then starting a family and not being able to ride roller coasters for 2 of the past 5 years because of being pregnant, I just don't have the stomach for them anymore. Mike hates this, of course, because he loves them. He grew up 10 minutes from KI and had season passes every year. Now when we go we spend the majority of our time in "kiddie land" watching Gabe ride the little rides. I did ride one coaster this time though!!! The Giggle Coaster with Gabe. Aren't you proud of me?! :) It looks as though Gabe may like them when he's older if he keeps up like he has been. I think we would have ridden the kiddie coaster all day if we'd let him. Last year he even asked if he could ride one of the big coaster with Mike. We had to tell him he was too little. Mike got one "real" coaster in during the day and had planned riding a few more with his sister after the kids and I left around 8pm, but just about when we pulled out of the parking lot it started storming pretty bad. Mike was forced to call the trip short and rounded up his group to head home. Gabe was asleeep before I even pulled out of the parking spot, Caleb soon followed only to wake up half way home and SCREAM the rest of the way home!!! That screamed along with the thunderstorms all around us made for a horrible drive home. I think he screamed for 50 minutes straight! Of course, this is because he was tired and I guess we should have left a little earlier then we did.
Below is Julie (Mike's sister) with the boys....this is pretty early in the day.
Candy, Ken, and Hayden were also able to join us for a good portion of the day. I love this picture of Hayden and Gabe obviously having a very important conversation.

Here is Caleb not long before we left for the day. So tired!
